CHECKLIST: THE
RIGHT NANNY FOR YOU
Many
parents come to NannyQuest and say, "I didn't realize I had this
option!" ...meaning, of course that they didn't know there was
a service out there that could provide college-educated nannies who are
actively involved with the children: nannies who can teach swimming
lessons, tutor, teach tennis lessons, explore, and provide children
with a stimulating, educational day. NannyQuest, Inc. was
born to specifically fill that need. When I was teaching
and directing a school in Atlanta, I would see children going home
with nannies who were not good role models in their speech patterns
or their knowledge of early childhood, and they were
non-swimmers. They basically provided a safe home until mom
and dad came back. All that time, the children were
missing out on days filled with educational fun, field trips, outdoor and
indoor activities, and a role model for life. That's
NannyQuest, Inc. in a nutshell. Take a look at the
following checklist and see how your nanny measures up:
Is the
nanny actively involved with the children (playing outside, swimming,
teaching new sport skills?)
Has
the nanny had a thorough background check, including verifiable
references, criminal search, driving record, and sex offender record?
Is
the nanny able to remain calm and communicate clearly and
effectively in case of an emergency?
Have
you paid for the nanny to take or update her training in Infant and
Toddler CPR? If not, call your local Red Cross center to find
classes near you.
Is the nanny able to teach a special
skill, such as another language, tennis, skiing, swimming, piano?
Does the nanny truly have your
child's best interest at heart or is this just a job for her?

night in the canopy as you lay in your tree-boat, viewing stars
glimmering like diamonds in the sky. A treetop bivouac camp will be
established in our secluded climbing tree for an overnight experience.
This overnight experience begins Saturday at 6 PM Jun 20, 2009 until Jun

A
TREEHOUSE GETAWAY IN SOUTH CAROLINA
Paddle
about twelve miles down the cypress-lined, blackwater Edisto River to a
private tree house nestled in the woods along the riverbank. Relax in a
rope hammock or on the dining deck, complete with an outdoor grill for
cooking dinner, and fall asleep to the woodland lullaby of rustling
trees, croaking frogs and hooting owls. Wake the next day to the sounds
of morning wildlife song and chatter and prepare breakfast on the small
gas stove before continuing downriver. For additional information,
visit the Carolina
Heritage Outfitters Web Site or telephone 843-563-5051.
How
about a camp site up in a beautiful tree? Spending the night in the trees
is a unique way of camping in north Georgia. It's an all inclusive
vacation, a vacation package that begins with an afternoon introduction
to climbing. Usually scheduled as a weekend getaway, treetop camping may
also be done as a spring break vacation or during the week. We have
dinner on the ground, then go aloft into our tree boats. Alto, GA.
